Symphony in the Flint Hills 2023 Coverage
I had the pleasure of attending another year of the Symphony in the Flint Hills event. This time it was in Wabaunsee County, on a beautiful hillcrest overlooking sloping green pastureland.
You can read more about this year's Symphony in the Flint Hills event here, in my article for The Manhattan Mercury.
Last year's Symphony in the Flint Hills event was cut much shorter because of a severe thunderstorm. You can read about it more in this post on my weather blog.

Review of HBO show 'Somebody Somewhere'
I recently watched all of the HBO comedy show 'Somebody Somewhere' with my partner, and we both loved it. The show is set in Manhattan, Kan., and revolves around the tribulations of Samantha, a lost soul who is grappling with the loss of her sister and learning how to be a good friend.
The show inspired me to write a review for The Manhattan Mercury ->Review of HBO series 'Somebody Somewhere'
Perhaps I'll write more TV and movie reviews in the future. They're fun and simple to do.
Welcome to My Work
Hello! I'm AJ Dome. Welcome to my website.
This is where I'll be posting blog updates and links to my work. I'm currently writing on a freelance basis for three entities: the Kansas Leadership Center, the Manhattan Mercury, and the Kansas Reflector. Most of my time will be spent writing magazine pieces and other content for the Leadership Center's quarterly magazine, The Journal.
Here's a link to my first magazine feature for The Journal. I'm incredibly humbled that my story created such a groundswell of support for the Afghan populations in Manhattan, Kan. The Leadership Center organized an event with Manhattan-area Afghans and volunteers to celebrate Afghan people making a new life in Kansas.
More content to come on this site. Stay tuned! Thank you for visiting.
